Yvonne is a self taught artist living in Norfolk. British wildlife, particularly the brown hare, has played a major part over the years in the recognition of her ability as an acclaimed artist, along with her international wildlife paintings. In June 2014 Yvonne won the Founders Award for British Wildlife at The Wildlife Art Society's international exhibition 'Nature in Art'. Yvonne has recently been awarded a Bronze citation for 'Painted Lady', which you can view here, by the Society's 2015 exhibition.
Yvonne exhibits with and is a member of several wildlife art societies including Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (MIWAS), The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and The Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI). At the TWASI exhibition in 2011 she was delighted to win the Simon Combes award for "Time Out" a pastel of African painted dogs. 2012 brought a Bronze Citation for "Just Looking" , a study of a fox. She also exhibits at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art in Cheshire. Her work can also be seen at Holkham Hall Gift Shop in Norfolk.
She works in soft pastel and pastel pencil on velour paper. With a worldwide client base Yvonne’s paintings and commissioned animal portraits are in many private homes. To view more of her work please visit her website.
