Based in Holt, North Norfolk, David is a professional wildlife photographer with a passion for birds. His images hang in galleries and collections throughout the world, including the Nikon gallery in Japan. David's work on Emperor Penguins won him the documentary award of the European Nature Photographer of the Year. Further awards have included a number of successes in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. In 2010 he was awarded Natures Best Indigenous Peoples Award for his work on Mongolian Eagle Hunters.
David has been the commissioned photographer for more than 40 books. He is the author of a number of titles including the bestselling RSPB Guide to Digital Wildlife Photography. He is currently working with author Mark Cocker on Birds & People a book that will be published in 2013 covering the cultural links people have to birds worldwide.
