Amie is a country girl at heart. Growing up in the heart of Suffolk and then studying Fine Art at Aberystwyth University, she is at her happiest when surrounded by rugged landscape and gorgeous scenery.
Amie is inspired by the organic patterns and striking shapes of nature including the wonder of bare winter trees whose structures play a big part in her work. All of the views she chooses to depict are locations that are meaningful in terms of identity and sense of place.
As part of a family of artists, she enjoys sharing a studio in the garden with her dad and helping out in the family business of running a gallery and framing studio.
