Rutland Water
World Land Trust attended the Birdfair again this year, in our usual place in Marquee 4, where WLT staff and representatives from our partner organisations REGUA (Brazil) and Guyra Paraguay provided interested visitors with all the latest information on how we are saving critically threatened habitats and their wildlife.
Carbon Balancing the Birdfair
Birdfair has teamed up with World Land Trust to work towards a carbon balanced Birdfair.
Over the next few months Birdfair and World Land Trust will be working together towards reducing carbon dioxide emissions where possible and to act responsibly and offset unavoidable emissions in time for the 2008 Fair. Read more on the official Birdfair website: Working towards a Carbon Balanced Birdfair.

The big blue mouse from Everyclick.com with Helena Akerlund and Sam Ovenden of the World Land Trust.31 August 2007
The Forum, Norwich
If you happened to visit Norwich city centre or The Forum on Friday 31 August, you might have come face to face with a cute blue mouse. He was spending the day promoting the website Everyclick.com which, as well as providing a really amazing shopping site, also generates funds for charities including the World Land Trust.
Everyclick is a search engine with a difference: It donates half the revenue it generates to charity and users can nominate a specific charity to support when they use it. While shopping itself cannot be considered environmentally friendly it is certainly kinder to the planet to do your shopping from the comfort of your own home and you can make a donation to the World Land Trust without spending a penny.
This is how it works: Go to http://www.everyclick.com/uk/shopcharity?keyword=All where you will find an A to Z list of online shops (including an indication of how much money your purchase will generate for charity). You can narrow down your search by using the search field or the shopping categories to the left. Shops featured include Amazon, CD Wow, Gamestation, Goldsmiths, John Lewis, Mothercare, Natural Collection, Plantstuff, Teleflorist, Thorntons, River Island and JJB Sports, and hundreds more - in fact a much wider range than you would find on your High Street.
Since Every Click was launched in June 2005 over 60,000 people have become registered supporters of the service and every time you search or shop online you can now raise money for World Land Trust. So please make www.everyclick.com your home page and it won't cost you a bean.
