Conservation Diploma Course![]() Equipping the conservationists of tomorrow: The Graduate Diploma in Conservation and Project Administration provides students with the essential mix of theoretical teaching and practical management experience of working with an international charity, the World Land Trust. Study Conservation and Project AdministrationThe Graduate Diploma in Conservation and Project Administration is an exciting collaboration between the University of East Anglia and the World Land Trust. This course was developed following the success and philosophy behind the World Land Trust’s Internship Programme. In the words of former intern Caroline Gill, it “breaks the ‘vicious circle’ of not being able to get a job without any experience”. This unique course provides students with the essential mix of theoretical teaching, as well as the practical management experience of working with an international charity - a combination designed to equip the ‘conservationists of tomorrow’. Course structureThe course combines taught modules at University of East Anglia (UEA) with a work placement module at World Land Trust (WLT). What our previous students say
"The course was brilliant. It gave us the opportunity to develop many useful and transferable skills such as fundraising, project management, report writing and research. As part of the course we spent time working with each different department of WLT, which gave us a real insight into how a conservation-focused NGO works. The combination of theory at the Uni and practical application within WLT was ideal." Natalie Evans (Diploma Student 2007-2008)
Martyn Griffiths (Diploma Student 2007-2008)
"We gained some great management experience and had the chance to work with and learn from staff within all the different WLT departments. The support given by all the staff was amazing and we were treated like members of staff, which gave us confidence in what we were doing and made our experience all the more valuable." Tracie Long (Diploma Student 2007-2008) ![]() "Through my work placement at the WLT I had he opportunity to experience some of the many activities that take place in the operation of this international conservation charity. I have learnt a great deal from my time at the WLT and thoroughly enjoyed the experience." Amy Nott (Diploma Student 2005-2006) |
