Description
Bilbergia nutans is a popular conservatory and houseplant and can comfortably grow on a windowsill for years. It is slow growing, and can naturally grow as an epiphyte but also as a terrestrial plant.
It gets the name ‘Queen’s Tears’ from the droplets of clear, sticky nectar which are secreted from the blooms. Another common name is the ‘Friendship Plant’ as it produces offsets which can be divided and shared with others.
