Description

Protected by the following WLT projects:

Giant Water Bugs are also known as ‘toe-biters’ and ‘electric-light bugs’. These highly common flying aquatic insects are found worldwide in clear, calm, freshwater streams and ponds. They resemble dead leaves floating in the water and ambush their prey, injecting a chemical that liquefies their insides which the bug then sucks out! Some species can reach 11cm in length.
