Rome International School, Italy
Sponsored WalkDear WLT, After finding out about the treasures of the rainforest and the way it is disappearing, we decided to take action by organising a sponsored walk in the park near our school. It wasn't a forest, of course, but we did venture into the woods and the walk made everyone think about our environment and the importance of conservation. We followed up by selling rainforest snacks in the hall at break and lunchtime. Some of the goodies were made by us in school using cocoa, coconut and ginger which grow in tropical forests. Our mums and dads provided the rest. Thanks to everyone for supporting us! Rome International School saved seven acres.
