Volunteer Trainee Project Development Assistant

The World Land Trust has a vacancy for a Trainee Project Development Assistant. The Post is initially for six months, after which a suitable candidate could be offered full-time paid employment. The post therefore provides both work experience for newly qualified graduates and training in international conservation management.

Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Life sciences or environmental management. Some experience in wildlife management, field natural history or related topics, and overseas travel would be an advantage but are not as important as enthusiasm, good organisational and communication skills.

The Trainee will be based in the WLT's office in Halesworth. The Trainee will work with the senior staff of the Trust helping develop existing and new projects including fundraising initiatives. The Trust currently has projects, or potential projects, in Belize, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, India and the Philippines.

Although the post is initially unsalaried, support and help will be given for travel expenses, finding accommodation, and transferring benefits.
