La World Land Trust espera a conservar las selvas tropicales del mundo y su fauna, además los hábitates importantes biologicales. La destrucción amenaza todos de estas cosas.
Para ayudar a comprar la tierra absoluto la WLT puede salvar las selvas tropicales y su fauna. Y para iniciar proyectos conservaciones por el desarollo sostenible, se mejorán las condiciones para vivir de la gente local, asíel riesgo de otros partes de la selva disminuiré.
La WLT originalamente fue fundado para recaudar fundos por la PROGRAMA POR BELIZE, y ha sido responsable por fundar mas de dos milón dolores por comprar la tierra y la investigación en el uso sostenible de la selva. En 1996, todos los préstamos habían sido pagado y la WLT fundó FRIENDS OF BELIZE (AMIGOS DE BELIZE) por las personas interesadas en la conservación por largo tiempo de la fauna y recursos naturales de Belize. Ahore es posible a visitar las selvas de la PFB y quedarse a La Milpa (antes el Rio Bravo) Stación de Investigación.
