"WLT’s intern programme was a great multi-disciplinary experience which provided me with many additional skills from web to fundraising to project administration; I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to work in the field of conservation. The team is small and friendly, you have excellent support and advice when needed and access to a great network of contacts and opportunities."

Where is Kristina now?

Kristina initially went on to become a Projects Development Officer at World Land Trust. "Following my internship I stayed on at WLT to work on fundraising, events and project management. From August 09 to Nov 2010, my main focus was the development and management of a carbon training programme in consultation with IUCN-NL for our African partner NGOs. The programme involved liaising with NGOs from all over Africa and meant I was lucky enough to visit both Ghana and Uganda for the workshops. This contract came to an end in November 2010 and I now work in the communications team as  Conservation Communications Manager assisting Head of Communications with a focus on corporate liaison."
